- 3 small apples - (eg. a combo of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp gluten free flour blend
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 3 Tbsp light brown sugar
- 1 package (7.5 oz) Chebe All-Purpose Bread Mix
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 2 tsp sugar
- 3 eggs (2 for dough, 1 for egg wash)
- 4 Tbsp almond milk
-
Preheat oven to 400F.
-
Wash and slice apples into very thin pieces. Add apples, brown sugar, sugar, salt, and flour to a bowl and toss to coat. Set aside.
-
Combine the Chebe All Purpose Bread Mix, sugar, 2 eggs, milk, and oil in a mixing bowl. Stir to combine the ingredients.
-
Pour the dough onto a clean work surface and knead until smooth, 1 – 2 minutes.
-
Place a piece of waxed or parchment paper on the work surface, top with the dough and then another piece of waxed or parchment paper.
-
Roll out into a 12-14 inch circle. Place the dough circle on a sheet of parchment paper on a baking pan.
-
Pour the apple mixture onto the dough, arranging apples in a layer of circles, leaving a 2 inch border. Fold up the edges around the apples.
-
Whisk one egg and brush a thin layer on the crust. If desired, sprinkle with about 1 tsp of sugar all around the crust.
-
Bake for 35-40 minutes until the crust is slightly golden.
-
Let stand for 5-10 minutes before cutting into triangles to serve.
