Recipe Notes

What is ‘aquafaba’?  Aquafaba (bean water) is the liquid from cooked legumes (pinto beans, chickpeas, lentils, etc.). It works great as an egg substitute (3 Tbsp = 1 egg) for many applications.  The liquid can be from cooking the raw legumes on your stove or that from a can of beans.  With this recipe we used the liquid from a can of chickpeas (garbanzo beans). Its consistency works very well for the 3 Tbsp = 1 egg exchange.

This recipe is straight off the box except for the egg part.  Just replace the 2 eggs with 6 tablespoons of aquafaba… that’s it! Aquafaba is an easy egg substitute that works great with Chēbē dough.  So… quick, easy and tasty cinnamon rolls are just a few minutes away, and if you don’t do eggs by choice or by necessity, there is nothing stopping you now!  (To make these vegan, just replace the butter with a vegan version!)
